Instant gratification does not pay

Just be you and Results will come

Are you waiting for the new year’s resolution, to catch up with Wellness? It will be a while and comes at a price.

You shouldn’t need an arbitrary date to get started on your goals. While that’s true, it’s also true that the start of a new year is an excellent time to start on your goals because it’s a psychological clean slate: No matter what happened this year there is always great time to make changes and start well. Or you can start making small changes now.

Here are few thoughts to jog your mind and have a positive outlook to the coming events, so that you can cope with the unfolding of a new hype for getting fit quick.

  1. Learn to love the process because it’s not about achieving the end result but the person you become in the process of achieving your goals

Goals, in and of themselves, are pretty much pointless. They’re just benchmarks we use so we know where we want to go. The real benefit lies in the journey on the way to achieving your goals.

Between where you are right now and where you want to be – the ‘before’ and ‘after’–there’s a period of days, weeks, months, and years of unsexy, boring stuff.

  • Respect all days, the lows and highs: You can’t be strong and fit all days. Be patient with the body to recuperate.

It’s easy to be motivated, optimistic, and stick to your goals when things are going great. It’s a lot harder to be and do those things when you’re having bad days. But it’s what you do during the bad days that matters more because the truth is, this is real life and you’re going to have more bad days than good days.

Set up your tasks and have a set number, you expect from yourself on alternative days.

For example, ensuring that you do some exercises about 2-3 times per week. And track your balanced plate with vegies and protein and do not under serve carbs for energy.

If you keep out completely of wellness and keeping fit, it will be very difficult to get back as the journey and shock to the body will be very immense.

  • It is always best to set goals in terms of either 3 month or 6 month and in that way, you have enough time to achieve your gaols.

Because it’s not about how your actions will help make life easier today. But how your actions today will help make life easier for you in times to come.

  • To get something, you have to give up another. This is called opportunity cost and is one of the cosmic laws of the universe, because you can’t have it all.

If you’re constantly eating out and it is ruining your progress, then you need to start preparing your own meals. You’re going to have to give up some stuff if you want to achieve your goals. That’s what being an adult is all about, making the hard choices today so you can be better tomorrow

Kick the attitude of Instant gratification delaying what you want now for what you want most is a basic feature for success.

When you are working towards your goals, shut out the noise and don’t be tempted to compare yourself with others.

Treat your self in the breaks and make sure you celebrate small wins.

Keep the vison of who you want to become and take stock.

Don’t let someone else’s idea of ‘success’ define your own idea of success

Define, what is important for you and how you will measure your success, because only you know how your body feels.

Keep your eyes on your goals and stick to the plan.

  • Nobody makes a drastic transformation overnight. It’s the culmination of all the small (positive) decisions that people make every day over weeks, months, and years that eventually lead to huge results.

If you want to make huge progress in the long run, you should be more focused on accumulating as many good decisions as you can every day versus letting one bad decision ruin everything.
